Application for Undergraduate Dormitory in Fall Semester 2024
Dear Students:
The applications for undergraduate dormitories for the fall semester of 2024 are about to begin. Please take note of the following:
- Eligibility: Undergraduate students not currently residing in on-campus dormitories. Both the applicant and their parents must not have been registered residents of Taipei City or any of the following districts in New Taipei City—Banqiao, Sanchong, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Xinzhuang, Xindian, Shulin, Yingge, Sanxia, Tamsui, Xizhi, Tucheng, Luzhou, Wugu, Taishan, Shenkeng, or Bali—within the two years before the application date. (The Linkou District is expected to be included in the application scope for the 2024-2025 academic year, and Linkou students are eligible to apply in this round.)
- Students who take a leave of absence are qualified to apply but must be re-enrolled by the time they are assigned to a dormitory.
- Undergraduate students currently residing in BOT Prince House dormitories may apply. Should they be assigned a dormitory and decide to terminate their contract with Prince House early, they must pay one month of rent for liquidation damages.
- Students currently residing in on-campus dormitories whose accommodation term ends this semester (student IDs starting with B09, Veterinary Medicine majors starting with B08, Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy majors starting with B07) and require further accommodation for the spring semester should contact the Student Housing Service Division to open permissions for the online application process.
- If applicants cannot log in to the online application system due to a change in the household registry, please notify the Student Housing Service Division and contact the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Division to update your household registry information.
- When checking in at your new dormitory, please bring a household registration transcript within three months for verification. The transcript must include the applicant and both parents’ complete relocation history. You will be disqualified from accommodation if the transcript does not meet the eligibility requirements.
- Application Date: 10:00 AM on Monday, May 27, 2024, to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. (Late applications will not be accepted.)
- Application Website: https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/waiting/index/id/1131
- Applicants meeting the following requirements may receive priority. Please upload relevant documents during the application period:
- Students with a documented disability (requires disability card)
- Low-income families (requires low-income certificate issued by the government); no accommodation fee, but applicants still need to pay the deposit.
- Middle-low-income families (requires middle-low-income certificate issued by the government)
- Islander students and aboriginal students (requires household registration transcript)
- Applicants may add their preference for main-campus dormitories or downtown-campus dormitories. If you are unwilling to be accommodated to one of these campuses, please do not add it to your preferences.
- Application Results: The draw and waiting list results will be announced on the Student Housing Service Division’s website at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024.
- The fees for each dorm are as follows: https://osa_dorm.ntu.edu.tw/CID-3. From the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, Executive Yuan will subsidize the accommodation fee of on-campus dormitories for local students. General students receive a subsidy of $5000 for semester dorm fees, and middle-low/low-income families receive a subsidy of $7000 for semester dorm fees. The subsidy will be directly deducted from your accommodation fee.
- The waiting list will be active until December 8, 2024. The progress of the waiting list may be seen on the application website.
- Undergraduate students who newly move into the dormitories starting from the 2024-2025 academic year are expected to participate in the lottery to extend their stay in March each year. Only those who are successful in the lottery can continue to live in the on-campus dormitory in the next academic year. Those not selected must check out at the end of summer accommodation (early August).
- Responding to the adjustment of the accommodation system for undergraduate students starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, where students are required to reapply for accommodation annually, the Student Housing Services Division will hold an explanatory meeting on May 31, 2024 (Friday) from 12:20 PM to 1:20 PM at the Conference Rooms I of the Administrative Building. Those wishing to attend the explanatory meeting, please register online: https://forms.gle/cNzG15MKtjXVqYVm6. The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast online via the following link: https://youtube.com/live/tKuDi36TPqk?feature=share.
- Those who wish to apply for Prince House dormitories, please apply at Prince House’s website: https://ntudorm.prince.com.tw from July 15, 2024, to July 25, 2024. On-campus and Prince House dorms can be applied for and put on the waiting list simultaneously and independently. Still, you'll need to choose one if you're being accommodated simultaneously.
- For applicants unable to log into the system, transgender students requiring a room transfer, or any other related inquiries, please contact Ms. Feng. TEL: (02)3366-2266, E-mail: anhua@ntu.edu.tw
Best Regards,
